Back in February 1992 at the age of 21 when I founded David Pearce Electrical I had two very simple business strategies. The first was to trade in a respectful, professional and courteous manner to develop long-standing repeat business relationships with my customer base. The second was to appreciate and value all customers equally, after all today’s small domestic job could be the facilitator of tomorrow's hundred-thousand-pound contract.
Today, I have a team to help me look after the needs of our ever-expanding client base and these simple business strategies are very much the ethos of David Pearce (Electrical Contractors) Ltd. Under my management and direction everyone is focused on striving to deliver these simple but core values. Many of my workforce and administration team have worked for me for the majority of their working lives and I am very proud of them all.
In 1992, following the completion of a City & Guilds Apprenticeship and the gaining of valuable experience with a well-established and respected electrical contractor, I left the security of employment, sold my car, purchased a second-hand Fiesta Van and David Pearce Electrical Contractors was born!
I am a family man with a wonderful and supportive wife. Our two children ensure time out of the business is fully utilised. I have a keen interest in many sports including tennis, squash, rugby union and motorsports, to name but a few of those which I indulge in whenever possible.
Dan first joined David Pearce Electrical in November 2010 in a part-time role before taking up a full-time position in the early part of 2011 as the company’s Operations Manager. Prior to working at DPEC, Dan held the position of Sport Development Manager for 6 years at Sandwell Borough Council where he managed a large team of officers who were responsible for the development of Sport and Physical Activity across the Borough. In his spare time, Dan is a keen tennis player and committee member at Stoney Stanton Tennis Club and also a lifelong LCFC supporter travelling to both home and away games when he can.
Lee Baggott is the longest serving employee of DPEC having started as a second year apprentice with David in September 2003. Lee has progressed through the company as an Electrician to Approved status and is now our Contracts Manager and our nominated Electrical Contractors Association Quality Supervisor. Lee is technically very knowledgeable and this 'fountain' of British Standards and IET knowledge has enabled him to assist David with our major projects design and tendering needs. Lee is affectionately known in the office as the ‘Guru’ due to his passion for the Electrical regulations! Lee is also our home automation and Systemline audio specialist. Outside of David Pearce Electrical Lee is a family man and keen amateur astronomer.
Scott Hudson, our Business Development Engineer, is a long serving member of David Pearce Electrical having started in 2006 as an apprentice straight out of school. Scott has progressed through the company becoming a qualified Electrician in 2010, further enhancing his CV by becoming 'Approved' in 2016. Scott has been eager to develop his knowledge within the electrical industry further, having started out as Contracts Supervisor and now progressing to his current role in researching energy efficient technologies to financially aid new and long-standing customers. In his personal life, Scott is active at various sports and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Heath Jennings qualified at university after studying the construction industry. He was working at a local electrical wholesaler as an Account Manager in the late 90’s when he first met David. Heath completed an electrical apprenticeship and worked with several large organisations in the utilities and communications sector before joining David Pearce Electrical in September 2013 as an Electrician. Heath quickly progressed into his current role of Contracts Supervisor in May 2014. Heath is a qualified football coach assisting a local club. He also plays squash in the Leicestershire and Warwickshire Leagues and enjoys riding his motorbike in his spare time.
Claire joined David Pearce Electrical in 2007 having previously worked for a very large supermarket chain and a well-known fast food franchise. Claire is our resident ‘Girl Friday’. Whilst her official title is Accounts Administrator she also looks after the payroll, holidays, insurances, making the tea and anything else which finds its way onto her desk! Outside of work Claire enjoys photography, reading and holidays with her family.
